My name....my name is sunny...to my friends I am known as Boo. Life just doesn’t seem to ever go my way. I guess if you saw me walking down the street you would think I am just your everyday average boy. I mean I am a skinny white skin boy with black hair spiked in the back using hairspray and straightened in the front, My black rimmed glasses on sometimes wearing my tight shirt and girl skinny jeans. But the truth is I....am a monster so to speak, a demon, a being cursed to hell. You see....I am a vampire. And so far I have discovered my best friend is a vampire(that’s how I became one) and gotten in a fight at school, leaving me passed out in an alley way…..

Chapter 2

I could hear faint voices in the background. It was dark, my eye’s were closed, they felt so heavy….I clutched my head and raised my eye lids halfway. My head felt as if it had been run over by a truck, I groaned and that’s when I noticed the nurse watching me. “Oh good your awake! I’ll go tell Emily your  up and try not to overdo yourself you must take it easy for the next couple of days.”

The nurse rushed out of the room happily. I closed my eye’s again. Emily? Who’s Emily and….why am I in a hospital? I heard steps in the doorway and I raised my eye lids again to see who was their this time. It just so happened to be that beautiful girl I saw a couple days when I was running back to my house two day’s ago. She ran over to me and gave me a soft hug. Now that I could see her up close I started to study her looks, she had gorgeous black hair with red streaks in her bangs and pretty maroon eye’s. She used hairspray on the sides of her hair to give it volume(which looks amazing). Her skin looked like a smooth vanilla milkshake, she was shorter then me but not too short. Her cute shirt had hello kitty on it and it matched her black skinny jeans. She was drop dead gorgeous and I couldn’t keep my mouth closed. I was gaping at her and she giggled.

“Kitty got your tongue?” Emily smiled at me, the cutest smile I have ever seen, I just wanted to melt. I was blushing like crazy and laughed nervously. “Well…..I….was…..uhh…HAI!” Wow….I just realized how lame I can be when I’m around pretty girls. While I sat up in my bed she went out of the room and came back in with a rose in her hand. “I brought this for you…I hope you like it”
Emily handed the rose to me and quickly turned her head away. I could notice the cherry red in her cheeks as she tried not to look at me and I began to grin.

“Are you kidding me? This is the best present I have ever received, I love it thank you so much!” Her eye’s lit up and she practically squeezed me to death with her hug.

“So your name is Emily….” She nodded and replied, “Yup and your name is sunny right?”

“Well my friends call me boo.” Her eye’s began to glow again. “Aww! How cute!” I blushed slightly and then suddenly I remembered.

“Whoa….how did I even get here?!” Her face started to look sad and hurt and she whispered, “ I brought you to this hospital, you were lying in a alley with a lot of blood spilled all over the ground, the doctor said it was lucky I found you before you lost too much blood.” My mind was racing with thoughts.

“Oh my god! I remember now….that fight and-”

“A fight!? Why did you get into a fight?”

“Some jerks were pushing me around in school and I was tired of it.”

“Oh….”

“Well uhh… thanks for saving my life and everything.”

“No problem but I need to you to promise me you wont get into anymore fights, I don’t want you getting yourself killed now.”

“Hehe okie then, I promise I wont fight anymore!” I winked at her and grinned. Giving me that amazing smile again she leaned over me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. “Your so cute, I’ll be back tomorrow.” I could barely hear her though, then she walked out of the room and my mind was numb. So many feelings were pounding into my head at once. Am I dreaming? Did that really happen? Or did the most beautiful girl just give me a kiss upon my cheek. My eye’s started to swell up with tears and I gripped onto the rose in my hand. I was so happy….for once. It felt good, gave me hope that life can be better then I thought, but alas my eye’s were weary and I needed rest so I curled up in my blanket and fell asleep.

I woke up to a loud banging on my door, my voice was hoarse but I managed to let out a measly “come in.” A tall man walked into the room. He was middle-aged with short black hair and a mustache, he was a big oversized coat with blue jeans. His name….was Mr. Krieg. One of my teachers from high school and probably the only one that acknowledged my existence their other then Derek. Unfortunately he’s hated me ever since I made a fool of him in front of the class and has despised me ever since.

Mr. Krieg made his way to the middle of the room glared at me, studying my condition. He coughed and spoke aloud, “ So sunny I’m sure you are wondering why I am here.” He didn’t wait for me to speak. “ Well you see after that little fight you had with your friends the school has found that you are a dangerous threat to all the students their and they have entrusted me with the punishment of your actions will be.”

I didn’t like were this was going, my anger started to rise in me and he started to smirk at me with his beady little eyes. He was pacing back and forth across the room. “Now sunny I just Couldn’t decide what to do with you, I thought of giving you detention for the rest of your high school career but then I realized…why torture you with detention when I can kick you out of my life for good!” I wanted to jump up at him and rip his face off but I held myself back assuring my self that would just lead me to bigger problems. I never really hated Mr. Krieg that much until right now, with every ounce of my body I hated him.

“As I was saying, it took me awhile to figure it out but I think it would be in the schools best interest….to expel you from our facility.” Mr. Krieg’s lips curled up into a smile and he began to chuckle. First he made class hell for me, then he stood back and watched as I got beat from Derek, and now….now he is taking my education away. I mumbled, “You heartless bastard….” He ran over to the side of me and put his hands around my throat. “ Now listen here you worthless piece of shit, I don’t want you coming or even looking in the direction of the school, if I so much as see your shadow I swear to god I will hurt you.”

He released his hands around my throat and  backed out of the room keeping an eye on me. My whole body was shaking, but not out of fear, no it was shaking out of anguish. I could hardly believe what had just happened, how could he do this to me? How had my day turn from the perfect morning to the most miserable afternoon I have ever had. Was I just fit to never feel the joy of happiness, was I cursed with this bad luck since I am a demon? God has no love for vampires. How can God have love for a creature that preys on innocent humans. A being like me deserves no such love from “God.”

I scowled to myself, I will not forget what Mr. Krieg had done to me. Suddenly Emily appeared in my thoughts….the most astonishing thing is that thinking of her actually made me feel a little better….but I was still craving for revenge…and someday…..I shall have it!

The next morning I laid in my bed. My anger had numbed down and now all I felt was depression, I didn’t feel like doing anything…What right do I have to live in this world? Why me to have the gift of internal youth? I felt like smoking which is bad because I only used to smoke when I felt like crawling into a hole and dying. I don’t smoke anymore but it sure was hard as hell to give up. I heard the door creek open and I picked up my head to find Emily their smiling at me. I didn’t want her to see that I was hurting so I gave her the best fake smile I could do.

Emily stared at me with a blank stare, she could tell something was alarming me. “What’s wrong boo?”
“What do you mean Emily?”
“Boo…I can tell theirs something wrong, I can see it in your eyes.” Wow was this girl not amazing or what? “Its nothing Emily, don’t worry about it…please.” She ran over to me and threw her arms around me holding me close. I could feel her hot warm breath breathing down my neck. I looked into her beautiful maroon eyes...and I swore for a second their I could see bloodlust in them but I told myself I was just seeing things. “Your breathtaking Emily, you know that?”

She pretended not to hear me and grabbed my hand. “So how are you feeling? Well enough to leave this place yet?” I’ve actually felt well enough to leave this place since a couple of hours of being in here (thanks to my fast healing ability I’ve seem to acquire) but I stayed  in bed waiting for her. I nodded my head to her and we started to walk out of the hospital and around the town. We were holding hands and I thought we would make a cute couple (but of course right?).

“So Emily…how come I’ve never seen you around school?”

“Oh I’m home schooled, my parents insisted that they could teach me better then any school.”

“Lucky…”

“Boo….I don’t want to sound clingy but is it ok if you can spend the night at my house?” I must admit I was shocked that this gorgeous girl was asking me to stay the night at her house. Night. Why did that word seem to have such  meaning to it. “ Yah sure Emily, I would love too!”

“You sure your parents wouldn’t mind?” I laughed, I couldn’t  help it really. “My parents don’t give a shit about me or what I do, why else do you think they weren’t at that hospital concerned about how I was? No my parents claim that I was born on “accident” all they do is provide me with shelter and food but that’s only because the law requires them too.”

“Aww what kind of parents could do that to such an amazing boy like you?” She clinged onto me and began to stroke my hair, comforting me. I was really ok though, I mean I’ve been used to it like that for 16 years now.

Then Emily grabbed my hand again and dragged me to her house. We immediately went into her room and she pushed me onto her bed. She finally had me alone, I closed my eye’s for second only to see that she was now sitting on top of me with an innocent face. I started to get nervous and covered my face with my hands. Emily pulled her head down ever so slowly and whispered into my ear. “You are mine now, I’ve wanted you for awhile now.” Wait! She’s wanted me? What!? I took my hands off my face and she was sticking her tongue out at me. I had an urge to bite it but I resisted. “Please don’t think me as weird boo…but I’ve been watching you for some time now, I have sort of been…stalking you hehe.” She laughed nervously and waited for my answer.

“Emily…I don’t think there is any other girl I would rather be with right now, the way you care for me and my feelings, the way you  give me that cute smile that makes me want to melt on the inside, or the way your eye’s glow when your happy, you didn’t know it but I was yours from the begging.”

“Oh boo!!! I love you.” She lowered her head and began to kiss my upon my lips. Tears started to slide down my cheeks as we continued to caress each other. “Why are you crying honey?”

“Oh….I’m really happy, I guess I’m not used to it so I kind of cry whenever it happens.”

My cheeks began to flush red and she was stroking my hair. “I want you to hold me till I fall asleep boo.” She got off me and rolled onto the side of me. I slid my hand down her face gently and whispered, “I will always hold you as long as I’m still breathing.” So we cuddled against each other our faces inches away from each other until we both fell asleep holding each other.

Their was fog all around me….everywhere…..wherever here was. I was studying my whereabouts when I suddenly spotted a dark figure rise from the ground in front of me. It started to let out a blood hurtling scream, “SUNNY, SUNNY SAVE ME! PLEASE SAVE ME!

I awoke sweating and breathing heavily. “Phew it was just a nightmare…” I wiped some of the sweat from my forehead and heard a shower in the distance. I guess Emily got tired of waiting for me to wake up heh heh. I got up and left her house, I needed to take a walk. I was walking around the block and I began to feel a weird vibe in the pit of my stomach but I figured it was from hunger. I was walking by the park and was surprised to see how many couples were here this early in the morning. Suddenly their was a laugh behind me, I jumped back only to find a kid with blond spiked hair in the back wearing a panda jacket and white skinny jeans. He was taller then me by a little bit and his hair fell over one of his eyes.

His name was Kyle and I hadn’t  seen him since he went to a vampire gathering four days ago. Kyle was my best friend and is also the reason why I am a vampire, we have been tougher since I can remember. “KYLE!” I shouted, all the couples turned their heads to see who would possibly shout at this time in the morning but they all went back to minding their own business. Kyle just stood their grinning like he just won a million dollars. “Wow boo I see you haven’t changed since I left, still as weak as ever!” He giggled and rocked back and forth. I glared at him for a second but then sprinted to him and tackled him into the grass.

He grabbed a fistful of my hair and tugged back on it as I fell on top of him, he knew I was going to bite him. “Now boo where are your manners?” Kyle said teasingly. I whimpered and replied, “Ok! Ok! Oww…grr I give up!” He let go of my hair and I made a pouty face at him. But I couldn’t stay mad at him so I hugged him tightly and got off. “So I hear you got in a fight with Derek and his stupid friends and then you ended up in a hospital.”

“Rawr! Their just lucky I didn’t have my razorblade on me at the time!” I said smirking. “Why? So you can kill yourself trying to use it before they do?” Kyle said laughing. “HEY! that’s not funny stop teasing me!” I bit down on his cheek but before I could dig my teeth into it he shoved me off and pinned me onto the grass. “That’s it boo  you asked for it.” He held my arms above my head and brushed his lips onto my neck. “I’ll give you one last chance to beg for mercy.”

I started to struggle with my arms, trying to get out of his grip but he opened his mouth wide and bit down on my neck. I started to groan as he grinded his teeth against my bare flesh. I could feel his teeth piercing through my skin slowly and started to lick the blood off my neck. I begged for him to stop and he got off me. “Jeez boo your face is scarlet red hehe.” I quickly stared down at my feet and mumbled “Well everyone was watching…” It started to rain outside and all the couples started to rush back to their houses, we ran underneath the jungle gym.

“So your gathering thingy is over already? You said it could take months.” I said gazing out into the rain. His eyes started to drop and I could see his mouth cringing. It looked like he was about to be sick. “I know, I know but we found information that….that….a neovampire (or neovampy for short )is living among this area.”

“Uhh…neovampire?”

“Yes a neovampy is an insane vampire that has lost their mind, instead of finding peace among mortals and vampire’s they spend their life torturing other vampires and humans, making their lives completely miserable like killing off their friends and family until they finally kill victim off, so in other words they like to play with their food before they eat.”

I started to cringe and looked up worriedly at Kyle. “So there’s one here and you’ve come back to catch it and destroy it?”

“Yes and also because I’m worried about you and I…missed you of course.” He ran over to me and hugged me from behind, putting his arms around my waist. “Aww Kyle you don’t have to worry about me, the only thing is I keep getting these pains all over my body and weird vibes…and I missed you a lot too!”

“Hehe those pains are just from you growing into a half vampire.”

“A half vampire…well how do you turn into a full one?”

“You remember that fight you were in? Well that thing that took control of your body at that time was the vampire in you and if you let it take over your body completely then you’ll become a full vampire but the tragic thing about becoming a full vampire is that you lose your human side forever.”

“Oh so you have to let it take over…..what…what if you cant control it and it takes over on its own?”

“Well that’s what a neovampy is, they cant control the vampire in them so they go crazy, sad that we cant do anything but take them out of their misery by killing them.”

“And you say there is one here…..Ok I want to help you get it.” He was shocked but he started to shake his violently. “No way am I letting you get yourself killed like that, besides your just getting your powers and what about your little girlfriend?” I grabbed his arm gently and looked deep into his eye’s. They reflected pain, agony, and sorrow back at me.

“ Look Kyle…I can do this…just train me, as long as your with me I can do anything, I want to help and ill just tell Emily that ill be gone for awhile, she will understand please let me help you Kyle.” Kyle sighed and ruffled my hair. “Your going to be the death of me boo, you know that?” He said with a slight smile.

“But you still love me right? Hehe.” “Sadly…just kidding sunny, I will be their for you always, that is why I made you mine.”

“So what’s the plan then Kyle?”

“Well first off you need to go tell Emily that you’ll be leaving on a trip for a couple weeks then I say we should meet up at the….church at midnight so get packed up at your house before you leave.”

“Ok sounds good ill just - Ahh!” I fell to my knees clenching my stomach, Kyle stared at me curiously.

“Boo when’s the last time you have drank blood?”
“Drank blood? I haven’t drunken any blood at all!” Kyle slapped his forehead with his hand. “I forgot to tell you that a half vampire needs to drink blood once a month or else you will get dizzy and weak until you cant ever stand up anymore.”

“I have to drink from a human being!?!”

“Well no….you can drink from an animal but I warn you it will be unsatisfying and taste horrible.”

“Grr I don’t care! Anything’s better then preying on the weak and innocent.”

“Well at least we don’t kill them like neovampys,” I sighed and nodded. “Well I guess ill go tell Emily now.”

“Ok then ill be waiting for you.” He hugged me tight and kissed my cheek, then he took his finger and closed my eyes with it. When I opened them back up he was gone.

While I was taking my time to walk back to Emily’s felt as if I was being watched by someone….or something. I stopped and started  to look around, adjusting my eye’s so that I could see farther and better then an average human. Then I saw it…a hooded figure up on a roof, I got a brief glimpse of it because it disappeared as soon as I spotted it. “OH SHIT! Someone’s following me…EMILY!” I ran. Faster then I have ever ran before. Pushing myself beyond the limit. My legs were moving so fast it was as if they were a blur, I was breathing heavily and getting a cramp but that didn’t stop me, all I could think about was Emily’s safety.

As I arrived at her house I broke the door down with all my force. “EMILY! EMILY ARE YOU HERE?!!” Her house was a mess, their was broken glass and torn up furniture everywhere, I looked in every room but the neovampire had token her….I was too late. I fell to the ground  sobbing, I began to punch the wooden floor until my knuckles were bleeding, I screamed in agony. I could feel the vampire slowly starting to take over me….then a hand grabbed my shoulder and spun me around.

It was Kyle. “Kyle…they took her! They took Emily! It’s all my fault, I put her in danger by being with her and now they took her! I should have been here so it could have just killed me instead.” Kyle held me tight and began to whisper in my ear softly, “ Don’t you dare say that, you didn’t know that this would happen, this is not your fault. Well will get her back….I promise.”

“I was crying into his shoulder and forced myself to get up, I wiped the tears out of my eyes. “Your right Kyle…theirs not point in crying over this…we have to get her back, no matter what it takes.” “Ok we need to get out of town immediately so I want you to go get your stuff sunny and then meet me at the edge of town….make sure your not being followed either.” I stared at the ground, my mind was numb…my tears had dried and my eyes burned. “Kyle how did you know anyways? How did you know where to find me and that I was in trouble?”

“By the connection we have too each other sunny, ever since I blooded you that first day into a vampire, I can see what you see feel what you feel, that’s how I knew you got into a fight and ended up in the hospital.”

“Does that mean I can do the same with you?”
“With the right amount of training , yes.” I clenched my fists and grinded my teeth. “Then so be it, I want you to train me till I’m ready to kill this neovampire.” Kyle looked up at me with a concerned look on his face. “ Ok boo ill train you as best I can, but it will be tough since we don’t have time on our hands ill have to train you as hard as I can, I’m going to go now go get your stuff and meet me at the edge of town, and please don’t let the vampire side take over you when your angry….its dangerous.”

Kyle disappeared into the shadows. When I got to my house I began to pack my stuff and all the important items I might need into my backpack. I decided I should tell my parents I was going to be gone for awhile so I went to look for them around the house….I found them sleeping in their bed with the covers over them. I walked over and lowered the sheets down below their heads and fell back screaming. They were nailed to each other by the stake going through the side of their head.

I felt like crying…but I couldn’t, my eye’s were dried of tears. I ran out of my house with my backpack. They took away Emily and they killed my parents, their was no reason to stay back in this town for now…even though my parents didn’t care for me….I still loved them. I looked all around to see if I was being followed then made my way to the edge of town. Kyle was waiting their for me just as he said. I knew he knew about my parents but their was nothing to be said, we just nodded our heads towards each other and ran out of the town till we came up to a forest. Kyle check back one more time to see if anyone was their, when the coast was clear we ran into the forest, I thought in my head they had not won yet, I will return and have my revenge and get Emily back.  Kyle and I disappeared into the forest, consumed by the darkness encircling us.
